I will see if I can book that weekend off as I work as a support worker and work more weekends than I’m off. You have put a lot of work in to organise this and I hope there will be a big turnout and you make lots of money. Hopefully Chris and Neil will put this on their website 🤞

Although I am unable to attend this, it may be an idea to email Angela Becker to organise an announcement on the official site, as she will probably have overall day to day running of it, rather than Neil and Chris. Just a thought...

Wish I could be there but it is a bit far for me (from NYC!) - sounds like a very fun weekend! I also hope you get a good turnout!

It's my working weekend but I'll try to get a swap. Good luck with this venture, it sounds brilliant!

If you’re working where I think you do, you might find you’re on the walking route anyway Image

In the spirit of the event, we can meet at the Applejack Diner for our own NYC version of the walking tour! 😎

I'm still there, yes! ;)

EDIT:

Booked ''fanatically''!

I'd forgotten I'd taken the weekend off anyway for Brighton Pride but this takes priority.

Also a colleague asked me to swap so I've been able to cancel and save the leave for another time.

Too much information about my shifts but very excited about this event!

If it’s a success I’m sure we’ll run the walk again without the disco.

But do you like rock?
He doesn't like country-and-western
He doesn't like rock music
He doesn't like, he doesn't like rockabilly or rock ’n’ roll particularly
Doesn't like much really, does he?
But what he does like he loves passionately

This is a fantastic idea and I would have loved to do both the disco and the walk, but going to Dreamworld in Cardiff makes it impossible, unfortunately. I hope if it's the success it should be, it will be repeated and could even become an annual event - which makes me think (not just selfishly!) that the weekend closest to 19th August might have been a better pick :D

I'd love to do it if it's run again sometime, I'm also in the position that it's too tight for me to make it after time off and flights etc for Cardiff. Sounds great and hope everyone has a ball!
