Can anyone share whether this release includes the Smash mix of Was It Worth It or the proper single mix?

I just fail to get the excitement about this. What does it matter if you've got it on black, blue, pink, red or yellow vinyl? Really? It's exactly the same music you've bought 20 times before. Nice if you've never previously owned I get. Please explain.

Yes it does (include the Smash mix instead of the 7" mix). I've just litened to it.

Popped down to my local HMV today and picked one up no problem.
Lovely item.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

I enjoy collecting vinyl, but do have my limits. For me if it were just rereleased on standard black I might not have gone for it (which by the way they STILL haven't officially said it's rereleased on standard black have they, even though we have evidence to the contrary - did anyone pick a copy up?)

I think what I like are the updates to the cover, and to Was It Worth It? details. And blue vinyl I think that really "completes" this as a package as it keeps with the colour of the cover. That makes it less about the music on a number of levels.

The blue was probably the MAIN clincher for me, but it was by no means a no brainer purchase as I do have the original vinyl version. I had slightly hoped it would be a gatefold sleeve, which was hinted at in the promo artwork, and whilst disappointing that it's not, it obviously wasn't a dealbreaker.

I've just listened to it as well and they clearly used the smash remastered tracks.

I fail to understand why it matters to you so much. I have always wanted Discography on vinyl but the original can sell for hundreds of dollars. I am very happy they reissued it but disappointed they chose to just use the smash remastered tracks.

Greetings,

I've never had Discography on vinyl, but I gave it a miss on account of owning SMASH.

I totally understand Old Soak's "who cares" comment about the colour of the vinyl. At some point you've got to draw a line under it - I mean, how many colours were there of Nonetheless? That was just over the top, and it's costly to be a completist!

All that said, the blue for Discography genuinely would look nice and on theme.

However... might I suggest that one disc white with a blue label, one disc blue with a white label, both non-transparent, would have been even better IMO. I might have gone in for that.

Retro. :)

The album is #35 on the UK midweek album charts from monday.
Gues the sales from the PSB store are not included yet.
