And now on the official site:
Pet Shop Boys’ “Discography” is being reissued on vinyl for the first time since its original release in 1991. Out on 30th May, the limited edition transparent blue vinyl uses remastered audio and is available to pre-order now at the link below.
https://petshopboys.lnk.to/store
“Discography” features all PSB singles released from 1985 to 1991, which include four No. 1s and a further eight Top 10 hits, as well as two new tracks, “DJ Culture” and “Was It Worth It?”.

Re: Blue vinyl Discography reissue 30 May
Truly conflicted. I have this on vinyl from the first time around so is blue vinyl enough to sway me to buy this?
Back in the day it would have been a no brainer. Released as a 7" box set today (see Gorillaz Cracker Island) I would have jumped at it.
Times are different now, and this is comparatively not enough of a difference to immediately tempt me.
Perhaps I'll leave my wife to make the casting vote!

Just only € 45.99 maybe great to use as Blue plate with the Tea set. Kind of Dj dream come true
Re: Blue vinyl Discography reissue 30 May
If I recall correctly, this is something Parlophone has wanted to do for awhile?
Re: Blue vinyl Discography reissue 30 May
So this will likely have the slight differences there were on CD1 of 'Smash' compared to the original 'Discography'. Can't remember them all, but I know 'Was It Worth It?' had a slightly longer ending.
Re: Blue vinyl Discography reissue 30 May
I’ve been ripping vinyl lately as I’m just worn-out with loud, compressed modern masters. The thing I’ve noticed about modern records vs older pressings is they’ve STILL found a way to compress music on vinyl, just at a lower volume. I find I can safely amplify vinyl pressed in the 1980s up to -.5 db in Audacity and then turn up the recording to -9.5 db on my home stereo and it’s a pleasure to listen to. Modern vinyl also amplified to -.5 in Audacity I may only turn up to -13 db, that’s still 3.5 db louder.
Considering they used “remastered audio” for this pressing I think if someone wants this on vinyl it would be preferable to track down the original pressing over this one.

I find the description on the official site (and various marketing) weird that DJ Culture and Was it worth it? are described as "new songs". They were in the context of its original release, but... not now!
Also, why are these things always more expensive from the official site?
