Hello,
My name is Ceri and the first Pet Shop Boys record I bought was the Always on My Mind 12" when I was 14. I'd already been heavily listening to a mix tape of their remixes that my cousin Vaughan had made for me. I bought every 12" and LP from then on, until I lost my way in the mid 90s when I was more interested in US lo-fi bands like Guided by Voices and the Cool Cymru scene. I didn't really come back to the Boys until I came across a Popjustice interview in advance of the Fundamental album and I've bought into every 'return to form' campaign since then.
I've been reading this Community's posts for quite a few years but I saw the new EE/Left to my own devices ad in the cinema the other day and wanted to share my thoughts here. I also wanted to answer the question someone posted as to the PSB track which makes me most emotional (answer 'Liberation')
I will probably only be an occasional poster, but it's nice to know I'm among friends.
My username is a random reference to a German dance label and a catchphrase from an 80s building society advert featuring Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry. Sorry about that.
Ceri
