My tastes are broader than they used to be, but they don't stray a million miles away from synth/electronic/synth & electronic based rock (think New Order, Electronic, Ultravox).

I like a little bit of Guns 'n Roses though.

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

Porcupine Tree is probably the furthest from PSB that I go. Or just about anything Steven Wilson has done. Or maybe Opeth. I don't really generally stray too far from electronic music though so it's mostly artists like Depeche Mode, or pop artists like Aurora and Telenova.

The Music of Bollywood legends Shankar & Jaiksihan. Film music composers of the 50's and 60's. Their music had strong melody. Shankar-Jaikishan were a duk who composed for 121 Bollywood films between 1949-1971.

The Beatles are also my favourites, yet so different to PSB but also similar.
