I've been checking Amazon UK website intermittently to try and see how much they are going to price the triple vinyl at. They have had the cd listed to pre-order for the last 24 hours, and although a link also to the vinyl, it has just been showing as 'not in stock'
So I went onto the Amazon France site this evening and that does have the triple vinyl listed at €23 (£20 approx) ! I am fully expecting to get something to say this is a mistake and them cancel it, but I have ordered one anyway with an additional €3 postage.

Does Amazon still do pre-order price guarantee. If so, they will honour that price.
Go for it!
If it's a mistake on their end they won't.
I had this recently with the Synchronicity box set by The Police.
Amazon UK posted the Japanese release of it at a ridiculously low price. A lot of people placed orders for it, and inevitably we all got an email from Amazon saying that there was a delay on it and that they didn't know when they'd actually get it in stock.

Well this is obviously grand news. I was hoping it was to be a true expanded edition with the extra James Ford tracks interwoven with the standard track listing to create a new listening experience. Then mischievously I imagined beyond all reasonable hope that the German version of Schlager replaced the original album version.
Shame the new tracks are on CD2. But I am dead excited to hear it’s happening.
Oh and why didn’t they use different photo outtakes for the sleeve? (Because they are outtakes I hear everyone say….)

I'm waiting for Miserere, the outro of Love is The Law is sublime.
Agreed - so beautiful. Neil said somewhere (Annually?) that he wished he'd gone back into the studio to sing part of it for real, rather than using the Neilatron. I wonder if he's done that for this full version?
remember this guys ? this was first snippet of new album sounds when they started to record
OK, that's my 2CD ordered from the US store. Funny how that $20 item suddenly becomes $30+ once you add tax'n'shipping. It still gets me after all these years.

I had a horrible day today. I drove 75 mins for a job interview and the guy who was supposed to see me never turned up without no prior notice. Now I have a Teams Meeting with him tomorrow. Anyway when I got home and saw this news - it really made my day! X

Do their demos ever change that much? Vocal is an outlier but generally they are such good songwriters that the demos are not that dissimilar to the final versions.
Often not, but occasionally they do, as with “Domino dancing”, “Don Juan”, and “Vocal.” In this case I feel having all of the demos is most appropriate because they said James Ford greatly simplified the arrangements. Of course he also replaced all of the soft-synth programming with analog electronics and added strings and brass. I think having all of the demos will allow one to hear what the album would have likely sounded like had PSB self-produced it vs. pulling Ford in. Having a producer on a PSB album doesn’t always make a huge difference, but in the case of some like Lewis Martinee, Stuart Price (at least on “Electric”) and James Ford I think the producer makes a big difference sonically. In this instance it’s getting a second completely different take on the album. I’m quite excited to hear this incredible album again for the first time.
Ordered the 3LP from amazon.fr, don't expect it to ship for that price (even less than the listed 2CD price), so they will probably cancel it. But who knows. Will buy the 2CD anyway.

Hope your interview went well today, Leonidas!
I got the job, so now I have to decide which of the 3 offers I am going to accept.
What a nice start to the day - thank you for your beautiful message. X

Kind of would have wished for an alternate cover to diferentiate it from the main edition.
I find it weird that they open the bonus disc with a cover, and that the demos start at track 5.
It all feels very un-PSB. Or rather like it was meant to be a 3 discs set (1 original album, 2 demos and 3 bonus tracks) but Parlophone chopped it into a 2 discs.
But it'll be interesting to listen to the songs before James Ford.

Good question. In fact most of their demos follow a similar structure to the finished piece but once in a while you get one that's so different it really qualifies as a unique version. Some examples:
Noticeably different:
Don Juan
Domino dancing
The Sodom and Gomorrah show
A new bohemia
Schlager-Hitparade
Considerably different:
Vampires
Indefinite leave to remain (criminal this wasn't on Fundy FL)
Vocal (second best demo version ever)
Totally different:
Radiophonic (best demo version ever)
I always worry about the PSB demos. Even Pete G, gets involved. Has the producer enough scope to develop them further. I prefer a more basic demo which captures the idea and the producer has a bigger canvass to work from. Plus PSB take more time.
