Do you expect a fifth single (and probably last) from Nonetheless in December?
Do you expect a fifth single (and probably last) from Nonetheless in December?
When I say single I talk about single, EP, etc.
I thought this couuld have been "Schlager" for Christmas time but the version of Chris is part of "Feel", so maybe it's not going to happen. Anyway, I think the time works for a Christmas release. "Why am I dancing?" works like a song for Christmas, there is a hook similar to the one from "All Over the World". Even a double A-side "Why am I dancing?"/"Schlager", I don't know. But I think they need a release for the end of the year to complete this big return of 2024 filling the whole year.

As you say, Schlager would have worked for Christmas but they would have saved the demo for that.
As it is, we're more likely to see a pre-festivities release of one of many pending releases, most probably the Copenhaguen blu-ray. (Otherwise, Disco 5 and Besides are also overdue, although them rather for the next year or two).

Why? So you can be disappointed again that the music video and promo are "too predictable" with young men showing a platonic/romantic interest in each other? But in all seriousness, if they were to release a fifth single (unlikely), it would have to be something like Fluorescent (RSD) or Undertow (Annually). In that case, The secret of happiness would be a better choice for a regional release (like Party), considering December is summer in the Southern Hemisphere and that song has a strong support down under.

I think that it's all about (Parlophone) money.
If these 4 singles have raised enough money to cover the costs (production, video, remixes, discs, distribution) maybe we'll have a 5th single.

I don’t think any of these CD singles actually make money. I mean, how many copies will have been sold of each? Definately not more than a few thousand globally (which already seams a lot). Times £8 (and that’s the selling price, not the revenues for Parlophone). I know the video for Feel is low budget but that alone will have cost more in terms of shooting, editing, advertising etc. It’s more like these products are continuing promotion for their live shows and merchandise of which Parlophone likely profits as well.

Re: ¿Esperas un quinto sencillo (y probablemente el último) de Withouts en diciembre?
I hope so. Any song on this album could perfectly be a fifth single.

I wouldn't be shocked to see a 12" box set containing all the Nonetheless singles. Maybe even as a Black Friday RSD release?

It could be a Christmas EP with Schlager and a new song. Or even a re-released Deluxe Edition of Nonetheless, like they did with Bilingual/Somewhere.
The new album has done extremely well because of the quality of the songs.
Radio play of new singles, is very helpful.

Re: Do you expect a fifth single (and probably last) from Nonetheless in December?
The idea of a fourth single, let alone a fifth would've been considered highly improbable until this year, but now they're back with Parly and we have a fourth single, the idea of a fifth is not beyond the realms of possibility. I'd still be very surprised though. If there were one I'd hope for Schlager, but I doubt that'll happen now they've put the demo on Feel. Love is the law?

I’d love a vinyl that includes 12” remixes of each single!
Re: Do you expect a fifth single (and probably last) from Nonetheless in December?
I don’t think there will be a direct fifth single from “Nonetheless.” However, I think there WILL be another single soon from a semi-related release such as “Disco 5” or “Naked” that may contain some “Nonetheless” era material.
Re: Do you expect a fifth single (and probably last) from Nonetheless in December?
Agree with the D5 bit but Naked is still a long way off by all accounts.Maybe one to go with Dreamworld dvd?
Re: Do you expect a fifth single (and probably last) from Nonetheless in December?
"Naked" (or whatever they are going to call it) is not going to be released this year, it's too soon. "Disco 5" is a possibility but not very clear. They have stuff for an EP easily and 2 songs that could work well for Christmas time: "Why am I dancing?" and "Schlager" (I think both could have an improved single version). "Low is the law" doesn't sound like an appropiate song for that time of the year.

Me too, just keep it away from Record Store Day.
