Nonetheless barcodes and versions

#1 Post by Gabby »

I'm sorting through all my vinyl copies of Nonetheless and decided I needed to note carefully the editions and their barcodes, because there is some crossover between vinyl types which could potentially cause confusion especially since not all carry the appropriate labels to say what they are. I've seen what I think are some different ones on Discogs but I realise accuracy isn't a given on there, so buyer beware, but can 100% confirm the following:

Barcode 5-054197-903588
Warner Records (Made in USA) version which is a different colour Grey to the Parlophone (Made in Germany) copy which has same barcode.

Barcode 5-054197-903588
Parlophone (Made in Germany) version which is a different colour Grey to the Warner Records (Made in USA) copy which has same barcode. (as noted above)

Barcode 5-054197-903540 (specifically Warner Records USA Milky Clear vinyl)
Warner Records (Made in USA) version carries same code barcode as the black vinyl Parlophone (Made in Germany) copy. Note that his is also a different Milky Clear to the Parlophone (Made in Germany) copy barcode 5-054197-903571.

Barcode 5-054197-903540 (specifically Parlophone Made in Germany Black vinyl)
Not to be confused with Warner Records (Made in USA) version which is Milky Clear vinyl but carries the same barcode (as noted above)

Barcode 5-054197-903571
Milky Clear Parlophone (Made in Germany) copy.

Barcode 5-054197-903601
Blood Records Zoetrope disc – individually numbered

Barcode 5-054197-903564
Parlophone (Made in Germany) white vinyl double album with “Furthermore”

Zoetrope is the best one. Feels like you’d be getting something worth having…

Vinyl doesn’t appeal to me in 2024 (and especially at £60.00 prices). Not too bothered on whether it’s grey or battleship grey either. Nor whether black or clear…

How many vinyls of this album???

I mostly agree. Vinyl still appeal to me though, mostly due to the larger covers and sleeves. …but I’m very disappointed in the Farrow 12” designs from the Relentless rerelease an onwards. The nonetheless LP sleeve, for example, looks like they just enlarged the CD sleeve - the result is that the LP design looks more clumsy etc than the cd. I’m not interested in that.
