**Annually Spoiler**
Just received my copy of this years Annually and the biggest news (in the quietest way possible) is the reveal that Warners Catalogue Division are going to be digitally releasing every single PSB single with associated B sides and remixes. They may also put them out as a box of CD singles!!

Finally, How can you expect to be taken seriously? Perfect Attitude 12" Mix on streaming platforms!!
Have a look at my taste in music:

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

I have mixed feelings about this. Yes to releasing all to streaming platforms.
The singles CD box set I'd also be first in the line to buy, but I think right now I'm suffering from purchase exhaustion with PSB, so I hope this wont happen for a while yet. It'd be a monster.
I know this wasn't suggested but I'd be against re-releasing anything to vinyl. On a completely selfish level I've been putting effort into curating my PSB vinyl for 40 years. It's full of joy and memory on many purchases. To rerelease any now would minimize that, I feel.

Madonna's doing this at the moment in a very haphazzard way in terms of the releases not coming out in any particular order. The very good thing about them is that quite a lot of them include promo-only mixes that were never released widely.
Re: **Warners to reissue every PSB single**
If they’re clever, they will bring out the pre It’s a sin singles on CD. They would be very popular with fans.

Finally, I can rest in peace after championing for a re-release of What Keeps Mankind Alive? And no, I wasn't about to rest on my laurels after the success of 2018's Further Listening, no siree.
Re: **Warners to reissue every PSB single**
Yeah, I’m really enjoying the Madonna reissues on Apple Music..but I’m just interested in the 80s ones. Getting all the original 12” mixes altogether with the original artwork is so good!

Re: **Annually Spoiler**
i will believe it when i see it.
its way too ambitious, and many tracks WILL be missed out,
especially the promo mixes.
sure it could happen. and maybe even a cd set, but i highly doubt it,
until they release tracklistings or give people and idea.
i will say talk talk tried it and gave up. the human league are doing it,
but are still hit and miss with the mixes. for some groups, its just too much work.

It's good news that the singles and their various B-sides/mixes will be released digitally, as many other acts have done (808 State's being a great example). It'll certainly be tempting to buy each one as they come out and get the cover art up on my 50" TV when streaming them from my network drive. A CD boxed set of these wouldn't interest me, as it'd no doubt cost a fortune, and I'd already have 70% of the tracks.
In reality though, I think the majority of the best remixes have already come out on CD (and of course I already have the single versions, extended single versions and B-sides several times on CD), so I will probably just buy the occasional track that appeals to me - this being some of the classic 12" remixes and dubs from the imperial phases that have yet to come out digitally.
These would interest me as individual downloads:
- Opportunities (Let's Make Lots Of Money) (Dub For Money) [4:54]
- West End Girls (Shep Pettibone Mastermix) [8:09]
- West End Dub [9:31]
- Love Comes Quickly (Dub Mix) [6:55]
- Opportunities (Shep Pettibone Mastermix) [7:18]
- Opportunities (Reprise) [4:27]
- Suburbia Pt. Two [2:20]
- I Get Excited You Get Excited Too (Sarm West Remix) [6:12]
- Domino Dancing (Base Mix) [5:53]
- How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously? (7" Video Mix) [4:10]
- Music For Boys (Chris Lowe Remix) [6:40]
The other as-yet digitally unreleased remixes from this era are ones I'm not fond of (such as the Phil Harding remixes of 'It's A Sin' and 'Always On My Mind' - which I know many fans love). From 'Can You Forgive Her?' onwards, I can't think of any DJ remixes I like that I don't already own digitally or on CD.
But it's still a very worthwhile project of course!

This is the best news I've heard all week, I really do they release a boxset.canveyboy wrote: ↑Wed 08 May 2024, 11:09 am Just received my copy of this years Annually and the biggest news (in the quietest way possible) is the reveal that Warners Catalogue Division are going to be digitally releasing every single PSB single with associated B sides and remixes. Re: **Annually Spoiler**
Hopefully the boys will be highly involved and won't let them forget remixes. I don't think Human League are even involved much. Phil was surprised they were being released on digital.negative_0ne wrote: ↑Wed 08 May 2024, 6:51 pm i will believe it when i see it.
