How long before I can post normally?
How long before I can post normally?
Been a member of forums since they first appeared but this one's a tough intro with this slightly OTT approval process for any reply. Makes it very difficult to join in a conversation when my replies take 12 hours to be approved and by then there's another 2 pages of replies.
Re: How long before I can post normally?
This had to be brought in because we were swamped with trolls - and that impacts innocent new members. There isn't a specific number of posts - my advice would be to keep posting and you will have this restriction removed when the probation period ends. Apologies for the temporary inconvenience.

It's OK, it's not a major problem but really does mean there's no way to actually get involved with the rest of the community. Thanks for replying

Thanks but it kind of put me off and made me forget to post, since discovered the PSB Reddit sub and it seems pretty nice.

I agree, it feels really useless to post something nobody will read. Or to comment on something nobody will get in time.
It discourages you to post, and it's a vicious circle. You don't post because your posts are useless, and that actually delays your chance for posting and that matters.
For example, I got my thoughts on "nonetheless", but why would I post them here. nobody will ever read them as they will get buried by dozens of others.

Re: How long before I can post normally?
Was about 5-10 posts for me.
It won't take long there's plenty to talk about at the moment.

Never say never. I read everything and anything can stick. That is the fun in forums. I liked someone's description of the new album calling it a Burt Bacharach album. Don't know who said it, but it stuck with me (I can look it up).lalolalo wrote:I agree, it feels really useless to post something nobody will read. Or to comment on something nobody will get in time.
