I have a ROH mosh pit spot for the Saturday night.
My first time in the pit. Although I know(ish) one other person going in there, I will mostly be han solo - please tell me everything I need to know. The good, the not so good. Can’t find any footage online. Is it REALLY the best place to be?
I want to get a feel for what might await me..
TIA petheads
It will be my third time in the pit on Saturday night having attended both the previous tours. It’s the best view/atmosphere I have had in 30+ PSB concerts. It’s like your at the front without having to get to the venue five hours early!! Enjoy.
I stood in the pit 2016. It was one of the best views I’ve had for a PSB concert, and it was by no means packed either. Great view, and plenty of room. You’ll have a great night.

Thanks whosematches - I guess I’m a bit nervous about crushing feeling a bit overwhelmed as a petite solo lass in there! As long as I can move arms/legs to dance I’m sure will be ok. Do you know how many people go in there? How does it work on arrival - how early should one get there? Love that it’s not hours before!! - heard a spot a little further back could be better place for a prime view. Wondering if I should bring heels to ease the looking up!

Thanks dog wondering if I’ll be staring at Neil’s shoes all night (which would be cool anyway ) Re your packed comment, I think that’s where my nerves come in a bit - and not knowing if i’ll feel claustrophobic - read different sources on how many go in there, so any info on that would be quite nice to know or even how big the space is. Yes I’m somewhat of a nerd!

There’s definitely a different energy being close to the stage for concerts. I’ve no doubt you will all have a blast!
Thank you Meebabi Was the most stressful ticket buying experience I’ve ever had! I got the mosh pit spot on general release - (did get seated on pre-sale which I’m now selling) I couldn't believe there was a pit available so just grabbed it! I find it hard to sit down at any gig but also like to try and be respectful of others around me so mosh pit seemed a win win. Agree re energy!

There is nothing to feel nervous about PSB fans are a very well behaved bunch in my experience. I read somewhere the capacity of the pit is around 80 so there is lots of space. I assume because it is normally the orchestral pit the risk assessment prevents too many people. There is no need to get there early at all (in my view) if you are right at the front then you will get slightly less perspective of the stage, but even at the back you are only about 5-8 rows deep (if that makes sense). I would only wear heals if your comfortable dancing in them!!

I agree, most stressful buying experience ever. Took 2.5 hours to get two tickets for Saturday mosh.
I’m very jealous of all you guys. Was trying for ages and kept crashing and couldn’t get anything.
Having been to the previous shows I think it’s safe to say it’s the least moshy mosh pit I’ve ever been in. People will definitely be dancing and enjoying it, but you’ve got absolutely nothing to worry about and you will love it!!!!

Ah thank you! Wow 80 does feel roomy - Yes you’re right, health and safety will be at a premium, thank you so much for the heads up, definitely feel less nervous. Good re queue timings too, brilliant! Haha re the heels was just wondering if I might need some extra height from down there!

Ah thanks stussyboy - good to know! Sorry you didn’t get what you wanted - I can appreciate it’s frustrating. I’ll never look at red couches (the online queue system) quite the same again!
