Frustration, they don't come to Melbourne Australia

I'm a bit fed up with this.
All of my favourite artists have came to my city.
Pet Shop Boys seem to be very stubborn with only touring their own country.
What's the deal. Why can't they visit Melbourne Australia.
I've been following PSB since Yes and Pandemoniumm, i.e 2009.
They haven't been here since 2007.
PSB are played on the radio here, they're popular.
Get on with it, come to Australia. :grumble: :wall:

Perhaps there aren’t any tour promoters willing to cough up the $$$ to bring them there. Or maybe they just don’t want to have to travel that long. Isn’t it something like 24 hours from the UK?

Greetings,

Everything is more expensive now, and doing business in Australia is no exception.

I could detail some of the causes behind that, but it would risk getting too controversial and political... suffice to say, if you have any knowledge of economics, you can probably work out what has changed for yourself.

Retro. :)

100% agree. I mean their last tour here was the Electric tour back in 2014 which we traveled to Sydney to see. I don't mind doing that again - just come to Oz guys !!!!

I'd love them to come too - and no better time when they are performing their Greatest Hits tour!

When they came to Sydney in 2014, they did 3 nights at Carriageworks, a 1500 capacity venue.

I think their concern is about ticket sales in Australia and recouping the costs of transporting all the equipment across the world.

We just keep our fingers crossed!

What about the unity tour that if you Google it comes up for Sydney.

No, that's probably a hoax.
