Legacy is one of my absolute favourites, and I never expected to get to hear it live, and Cricket Wife ain't bad either! Very happy with these choices and that they're not wasting this occasion with the obvious It's a sin / West End girls.
I'd be surprised if Chris wasn't in the audience, isn't CW mostly his music? He'd probably want to hear this.

On November 10th, Helbig welcomes Pet Shop Boys singer Neil Tennant for two live premieres: 'Cricket Wife', a composition for voice and orchestra by Chris Lowe and Neil Tennant, and an orchestral version of 'Legacy', originally by Owen Pallett arranged for the 2009 album 'Yes'. The evening also features music by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Handel, Ennio Morricone, John Williams, Sven Helbig and many others.

I've always thought King Of Rome was the superior slowie for Yes. And Living In the Past the superior recent non-album single ballad compared to Cricket Wife. So both of these tracks in my mind have equivalent songs that I tend to prefer.
Really looking forward to this though, because the bar is set pretty low.
I've wanted them to revisit Cricket Wife so let's see.

I also love Legacy, and for me it sits beside King of Rome. Cricket Wife, I've always struggled with the structure of it. Two good choices for the orchestra though.

I'm really looking forward to this unique event. Especially on the live version of Legacy. Maybe Neil will do a special encore after the concert. For example, No Time For Tears, which was sung in the radio1 advertising trailer in August. It can't be ruled out that Chris might sit in the audience and listen to the concert.
