Just over 30 years ago, the Pet Shop Boys founded their own record label, Spaghetti Recordings, and their first and most memorable signing was 21 year-old electronic-pop prodigy David Cicero. The resulting classic synth-pop album Future Boy, although completely written by Cicero, had significant input by the Pet Shop Boys on key tracks. They had a production, co-producer or mixing role on the songs ‘That Loving Feeling’, ‘Heaven Must Have Sent You Back To Me’, ‘My Middle Class Life’ and ‘Love Is Everywhere’. They also produced the last track Cicero ever recorded for Spaghetti Recordings, the non- album single ‘Live For Today’; this was a duet with seasoned session singer Sylvia Mason-James that featured in the ‘The Crying Game’. Neil Tennant is further awarded a general album credit as one of the backing vocalists heard throughout the album, as is Chris Lowe for his keyboards and programming contributions.
3CD - Fully remastered 45-track, 3-disc deluxe expanded edition. Collects together all known Cicero tracks released during his Spaghetti Recordings years plus some recent vault discoveries and five newly commissioned 2023 remixes of the hit single ‘Love Is Everywhere’ by a range of leading underground synth-pop acts. Presented in a 3-disc Digipak and is complete with a richly illustrated 24-page booklet with an introduction written by Cicero himself as well as track by track comments by him too.
Disc 1 contains the original album and all the experimental, techno-styled, sample-laden B-sides from his five Spaghetti Recordings singles. It includes, for the first time ever, the track ‘Pretend’ which although was intended for inclusion on the original ‘Future Boy’ album, it didn’t make the final cut and has remained, until now, unreleased! Celebrated percussionist Pandit Dinesh makes an appearance on the album track ‘Then’.
Disc 2 contains all the single edits, extended versions and remixes of the singles as well as the non-album single, ‘Live For Today’. This re-issue now includes a longer take on the ‘Orchestral Version’ which was featured in the soundtrack to the movie ‘The Crying Game’. Other bonus tracks include the vault find ‘Wish (Big Kahuna Mix)’ on which Cicero teams up with vocalist Bianca Kinane and the two mixes of ‘Live For Today’ - the ‘Club Mix’ and the ‘Underground Dub’ which were remixed by stellar club DJ Judge Jules.
Disc 3, ‘Ciceroddities!’ contains those five brand new synth-pop remixes of the album’s original standout hit single ‘Love Is Everywhere’ alongside previously unreleased live versions of 4 album tracks recorded at Heaven nightclub in 1991 and the 7” versions of the singles’ B-Sides to make the release as comprehensive as possible.
LP - Re-issued, in celebration of its 30th anniversary, as a fully remastered white vinyl album including, for the first time ever, the track ‘Pretend’ which didn’t make the final cut of the original, hard to find 1992 vinyl release. With an appearance by celebrated percussionist Pandit Dinesh on the track ‘Then’.
The DVD compiles the official promotional videos of the four singles ‘Heaven Must Have Sent You Back To Me’ (directed by Chris Lowe), ‘That Loving Feeling’, ‘Love Is Everywhere’ and ‘Live For Today’ with the lesser seen and previously unreleased original promotional film for the album itself ‘Cicero - An Introduction - The Electronic Press Kit 1992’. The DVD also includes four ultra-rare and previously unreleased live tracks filmed at Cicero’s celebrated performance at London’s Heaven nightclub in 1991.

Re: Cicero - Future Boy Reissue
Hold on! A DVD of the Heaven concert 1991?! When does PSB release their version, because it was partly used in the music video for "Was It Worth It?". And I saw snippets of "Music For Boys" too.
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

Re: Cicero - Future Boy Reissue
This is what I thought
They must have filmed the gig, they wouldn’t have just filmed Cicero
Heard a snippet of a new mix of Love Is Everywhere. It came across as more as a Cicero/Neil duet, but can’t really tell from 30 seconds worth

I have an impression that this is Neil's AI generated voice on this new mix.Steve Fett wrote: ↑Fri 07 Jul 2023, 6:48 am Can't wait for this !!! That new demo mix of 'Love is Everywhere' with Neil featuring in a more heavier manner has me excited !!

Re: Cicero - Future Boy Reissue
is the DVD a separate thing, or included with the CDs or vinyl??
About the main album: Were the PSB involved at some degree in all the tracks, or only on the four tracks they produced?? That was never clear to me..as the credits did mention of Chris on the general album list of "Keyboards/Programming" and Neil on the "backing vocals"..but maybe because of just that four tracks?
