The JB Hi-Fi link is showing a 404.

I think we can safely assume now that this release is fake news.

Retro. :)
I had the link saved & just clicked on it & got the same thing!! 🙄

well, doesn't the retailer get the information from somewhere?

its not like they made it up.

there have been listings for ultravox - rage in eden boxset for quite some time now,
they were all released too early, and its still taking time, but it is real.

same for new order - low life boxset, its coming next year or later on.

i don't think its fake, its just for later on.

The page on JB site had a notice saying that owing to delivery issues from the suppliers they would dispatch preorders asap. I'd agree that it still could make an appearance.

The original "Discography" to me is a defining, iconic release from them. Such a concise collection of tracks.

The name is perfect to use as an eventual career overview when they finally wind things up

For that reason I hope this isn't something rushed. I'd rather they just leave the original alone, if they can't take their time and write up each track as they did before.

If it's real I can't help wonder what the point is.

If there is to be another 'complete' collection it'd surely make more sense to do it as an all encompassing release whenever they decide to call it a day, rather than have it go out of date the minute another single is released.

Also, the original release was truly 'imperial' with pretty much nothing but first class tunes on it. It appeals outside of the hardcore fan base. I suspect that's why it sells to this day. I don't think another would work so well, as (IMHO) the quality of PSB singles has varied in the years since.

Given I have all the tracks already (probably several times over on multiple releases and formats), I can't see it being top of a purchase priority list for me.

Nothing about this looked right, other than the fact that it was on a fair dinkum Aussie website. They'd never do something like this as they have too much respect for the original product.
