We're finally going to see a PSB live performance again. Good stuff.

I think the PSB of 1991 would think the PSB of 2021 are embarrassingly lame. They’ve really become corny in the 21s century, haven’t they?
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.

This is a nice surprise and a good way to end a horrible year and start a new year. I am assuming they will duet on this:

Also on a BBC Radio 2 Boxing Day takeover special it seems.
Pet Shop Boys, Takeover
Pet Shop Boys
Pet Shop Boys
9pm-12am
The Pet Shop Boys don’t do Christmas like anyone else. Their 1987 Christmas chart-topper, Always On My Mind, was the most unlikely festive hit, and so Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe’s Radio 2 takeover tonight will continue in that same vein as they keep the party going just as the tunes of the season are put into storage for another year.
Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe say: “Pet Shop Boys takeover BBC Radio 2 for three hours of our favourite music, personally chosen and presented by us, Neil and Chris!”
Expect no Christmas songs, but do expect a party playlist like no other. Neil and Chris will be playing disco hits, synth-pop gems, the odd showtune and a fair share of Chris’ personal Northern Soul favourites. Three hours in which there will be no mourning the end of another Nöel… quite the opposite. Only Pet Shop Boys could get away with this!
Presenters: Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe
Producer: Ste Softly for Mostest Productions

They really can't win can't they, not doing enough in some people eyes then when they do pop up on new years eve they get slagged off for being cringe ,some people eh
Re: PSB on BBC1 on New Year's Eve
And a new version of It's a Sin with Olly.
I mean, it's difficult to think Olly is not going to play It's a Sin. Even more difficult to think without PSB being part of the party. Dreamland could be the other one song.

They have been in many Christmas shows for ages.Luke Colorado wrote: ↑Thu 25 Nov 2021, 5:35 am I think the PSB of 1991 would think the PSB of 2021 are embarrassingly lame. They’ve really become corny in the 21s century, haven’t they?
They need more exposure, there is a full tour to come.

Re: PSB on BBC1 on New Year's Eve
Fantastic news about the Radio 2 show and New Years Eve on BBC1. Sort of agree with the 1991 comment but the music industry has changed a lot in 30 years. Chris and Neil get a lot of promotion through the BBC and something is better than nothing, will hopefully help shift any remaining tour tickets and remind viewers and listeners that they are still around.
