Pet Shop Boys "horror" songs for Halloween

#1 Post by Nickname »

I've found on the net a cover of the song Psychological with video, an interesting one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-DjsJQ-Zso

So I started to think about song from PSB for Halloween. So these songs come to my mind:

Psychological:

Scream:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCd_Id1GmMY

Vampires (I love the life version with the backing vocals):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peqk3i8kxsM

The ghost of myself:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09rY4IZH5KA

If's funny to see how many extended versions of their classic songs have a horror atmosphere like Losing my mind, Always on my mind, Suburbia or many others.

I love them.

I almost apologised the other day for my comment about your last poll but you've just confirmed that I'm right not to.

I'd rather have no new threads on this forum than any more polls from you.

Honk if you're with me.

Definitely a rich seam here. To build on your list:

Psychological
Screaming
Vampires
The ghost of myself
Losing my mind
Suburbia (The Full Horror)
Casanova in Hell
Footsteps
Hell
I want to wake up
If looks could kill
I’m not scared
In the night
It’s a sin
Luna Park
My head is spinning
Night song
Only the dark
The dead can dance
The resurrectionist
Violence
The way through the woods
Woof.

1) This topic isn’t a poll
2) Rather then keep criticising Nickname’s topics, why don’t you post your own interesting ones?

Good list! I would even add "What keeps mankind alive?" and to visualise it we need a loop of the "Yesterday when I was mad" video! ;)
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

1) On this occasion it isn't, quite right. I don't keep criticising them. I usually ignore them.

2) I think one person posting polls is enough for this forum. I'll head to Wayne's site if I need them.

'The Sound of the Atom Splitting' would have to feature; it definitely has a nightmarish quality.

(Not in a bad way - I actually like the track!).
Love comes quickly, but is a catastrophe and a bourgeois construct etc.

What's the point of posting about Halloween in November.

Anyway I made a playlist for last year.
On second thought, I've since deleted it.
Anyway maybe next time post of the 1st of October, not November.
