No, Fairlight used 8 inch floppy discs.

As for the original question no idea.

It's also dated '96 I see now. A copy of the sounds used for a later synth/midi device ? Planned for use in a tour or maybe the Savoy live shows (in which ITN was not played)?

The listing contains a link to a sample of the contents. It appears to be the full song (but the sample chops it up so you get bits from different sections). It says it was sold as a souvenir.

It sounds to me that it's just a high quality 'rip' of the master. Not something used to create the song in the studio.

But I have no knowledge of these things. Just my opinion.

The disk is a Sony Magneto-optical (m.o) disk used throughout the 80's-and early 90's

I asked the seller. He replied, that it is the Album Version from DISCO, but in in HighRes quality.
Strange enought, how HiRes fits with a diskette...

This is obviously not 3,5 inches (1,44Mb) diskette. May be something more special.

It can be two things

The capacity of Magneto Optical disks can be measured in gigabytes, not megabytes - certainly these days.

Editing to add a link to this review of a piece of studio kit that uses an MO disk in recording. I'm not saying this was the recorder that was used, or even something like it; I include merely to show that MO discs were present in recording at the time: https://rapmag.com/a/249-91/oct91/825-t ... k-recorder
