What would you think a future PSB's album should sound like in order to reinvent themselves?

Koz could be a good choice. He produced Physical, Levitating, Love Again and Boys will be Boys for Future Nostalgia.
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

He didn't. Price produced Cool, Levitating, Hallucinate and Love again.

I think Electric was a great album and reinvention and rest of trilogy ended up having diminishing returns, though there was a lot of variety and some sounds they never attempted before, but is there ever escaping the PSB template sound, no matter the producer?!

I think one of the most exciting pop records released this year was Jessie Ware's What's your pleasure

Take this single, it could totally be a PSB song?! but there are so many other top notch tunes, which sound so modern and fresh.

It would be cool if they worked with someone like MNEK etc
I was born in a hospital room with green walls, the doctor who delivered me wore a green overall, so did the nurses hovering around. So much greenery around, its no wonder that it is my favourite colour !

Eh, Goldfrapp were doing that over a decade ago.

I'd rather them make music that excites them, rather than "reinvent" themselves by emulating others.

Retro. :)

Debussy wrote: Mon 29 Jun 2020, 2:10 pm James Ford has produced Jessie Ware's new album 'What's Your Pleasure?'. A sublime pop album that nods to many artists and references, yet sounds contemporary.
He has beautifully combined electronics with elegant orchestration and production, not a million miles from PSB. Listen to 'The Kill', the intro could be a PSB song.
Well... I guess Debussy was the first to call this!

I like the album to be something nice to listen to and revisit with brilliant lyrics and music, just like they’ve done from day one

I couldn’t give a f*** who the producer is

I heard some songs of jessie ware and others given here and it's really good, however i expect more from the boys.
Burning the heather blew my mind with its atmosphere, deep neil voice, and odd lyrics. When they hired Andrew Dawson, i thought there would be more "rap" elements and they did a new behaviour (kind of).
Maybe they could do a metal album someday, i'm sure it could work but i think Neil don't like this.
Indeed at this point it doesn't matter if they reinvent themselves or not, as long as they keep creating beautiful tracks.
