Free downloads from the OS

#1 Post by daveid »

Hi. Just wanting some info on some tracks that were made available on rhe OS in the very early 00s - before I became a proper fan. I believe For all of us was released as a free dl for Christmas 2000, but I hear there were other tracks made available too eg My night and Positive role model. Is anyone able to provide more info on this ie which tracks and when they were made available? Btw I'm not referring to the one's streamed in the late 00s that we were able to dl by being clever...

Thanks

There was a 'bug' on the website a few years ago when they had a music player.

By checking the source code you could extract the path to the original mp3 that it was playing. I'll post a screen shot of the play list I have in iTunes of pretty much everything that they had on it later on when I get home.

Thanks very much for this. A few questions - Was My night with Neil's vocal? What about For all of us? Which website did you get this info from?

I downloaded these at the time 2007/8 but I'd still be interested in seeing it. Thanks

Is it illegal to share these nowadays? They were freebies anyway!

I didn't realise there were that many! I have a few, but nowhere near that amount.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|

Thanks for that. I think that was one of the For all of us demos. Not the one just released.

These are the songs I have in my iTunes library from the official site - I don't think I got them all but I tried my best at the time once I found the MP3 files had downloaded in my temp folders. Most will now be redundant with the new FL discs of course.
