Twenty Something Video [LQ Clip included]

#1 Post by E-Mail Vampire »

They just played an exclsuive clip of the Twenty Something video on this morning's Lorraine. Its a black and white affair of what looks like a poor latino family with the father struggling with the bills.

Does it look like Bruce Weber's work?
"I think it’s an amazingly good album, I’ve got to be honest with you. It’s one of the albums I feel most proud of. But for people who don’t really know us, and have a sort of an idea about us, ‘Electric’ is more what the Pet Shop Boys are meant to be."
(Neil Tennant, speaking about "Elysium" on the eve of "Electric" release.)

Difficult to say on such a brief clip. Not sure also if Neil & Chris appear in it.. On a side note, Dan Wootton, the Showbiz hack from the Sun is such an irritating tool. He introduced the clip as being from the song "Twenty One"... :wall:

Dan Wotton is a knobhead!

It could be a Webber piece but if it is it is not an obvious Webber piece.

So I guess now we have a video a single release will come end of May/start of June.

Am waiting for it again on +1 to capture and upload.

I wonder if the Latino family is in Rio and its a commentary of the money spent on the Olympics whilst slums continue to exist. Probably appropriate imagery for New York, which seems to be becoming a sterile playground for investment bankers and their ilk
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

Be surprised if they could afford Bruce Weber given the budgets these days for videos.

Yeah, that's quite different from "Being boring"/"Se a vida e"/"I get along" but at least it looks like a proper video for a single. I wouldn't mind some coloured stills or inserts for a choruses.

I had a dream last night I bumped into the boys in Berlin then we ended up having a long sit down chat in a Saturn store about their up coming plans. Neil said he didn't like the Nightlife and Release FL packaging and Chris said he wanted Groovy as the next single and that he hoped Twenty Something would be scrapped as the video was awful. Then hey presto we get a video lol. That was one of the strangest dreams I've had.

Mates rates? I always felt that Yes should have had Webber video for either The way it used to be or Pandamonium.

He had to shoot "Beautiful people"! Of course, they've missed the time window of collaboration (1990-1996-2002-2008).
