What PSB songs do your kids like?

#1 Post by canveyboy »

My 19 month old son loves the new 'One Hit Wonder', he dances every time i play this. Which got me thinking, which songs do your young children like? My 10 year old daughter loves Thursday and knows all the words to the rap!...and she loves West End girls, and Love Etc and Memory OTF.... :)

My 5yr old daughter loves Thursday, Vocal, Pandemonium, Ego Music & It's a Sin. The Pandemonium DVD was on heavy rotation in our car for a long time! In fact she was quite upset I didn't take her with us to see the Electric gig.

All these kids who are being raised with PSB music and grow to love it ensure that we'll have new, younger generations of PSB fans! Keep exposing your kids, fans!! :)

My 8 year old loves Thursday, One More Chance, and What Have I done to Deserve This? He dislikes most of Yes.

Thursday seems to be a recurring theme

Oh yes, One More Chance, i forgot about that…i was playing the 1984 original a few weeks back and my other son, who's 4, then spent the rest of the week running through the lounge with his Disney Planes singing 'give me one more, one more chance…'

Yep, my kids have been exposed to PSB since the first of my 5 arrived in 2004! :)

If it was the main single from "Electric", I think it could be a hit.

I know you hate this typical Nickname's setences but it's true.

Yeah, nickname, we all know, you keep telling that story for years.

In the meantime, y'all may want to hear a longer version of that fantastic PSB jingle. Well, you'll be able to do so right at the end of the first episode of season 2. Enjoy!

Its too f*** late. Thursday is yesterday's news. Its a hit with the Petheads, but not the general public. Its moment in the sun that is the top 75 has passed. Let it go.

PSB in general, really. My oldest was 4 when Fundamental came out. I was working nights from home at the time and he woke up and came downstairs to my office around 4.30a. Fundamental had become available that morning and I had just started listening to it. "Sodom and Gomorrah Show" came on and he immediately started dancing around and playing my keyboard in the corner. He loved that song. I soon made him a CD of his favorite PSB songs to listen to in bed.

These days they just listen to them without much comment from the backseat of the car, tho "Thursday" and "Memory of the Future" were often requested. "It's a sin" was a big hit for a while, as was "I'm with Stupid" (tho I suspect mainly because 'stupid' was a forbidden word by my wife and this was a loophole to say it) and "We're the Pet Shop Boys" gets frequently sung along to as "We're the Ketchup Boys." I'll still catch the older one singing along to himself.

We took them to see the Electric tour. My oldest loved it, my youngest just sat in his seat burying his head, trying to sleep. He's not one for concerts.
