I'm hoping for an announcement for Brisbane. But if the leaked dates are right, they'll be on a tight timetable.

Pet Shop Boys at the Tivoli. Wouldn't that be amazing?

Any other Australian dates suggested on that page, or just 3 Sydney ones?

I'm not sure what to make of this though -

The Tivoli would be amazeballs. Can't wait to see Gary Numan there.

It's great that the festival they're playing in Sydney isn't just some big outdoor music festival where you have to pay a fortune and stand through lots of crap bands before the boys come on.
Vivid is all about light and electricity, a perfect fit for the Electric tour.

Now, if only I hadn't moved to Brisbane :(

No retrofuturist, no other Aussie dates announced. But they have a few free dates before and after.

This is amazing news! Vivid is a brilliant festival, I'll be really interested to see how this pans out. I don't imagine it is going to be a regular Electric type gig.
But it feels like the flight
Of the von Trapps, does that mean it's war?

According to the Vivid website there is only one gig on the 6th June, which contradicts the official site claiming 3 concerts. It's a real shame they aren't doing the Opera House. The bloody Pixies (of all people) got that gig!

This article confirms the three gigs, and that capacity for each is only 1500! This is looking very interesting indeed. Sadly it also seems to confirm that these are the only Aussie dates.

I'll be there with bells on, wouldn't miss it for the world! Tickets for the Friday gig supposedly go on sale tomorrow (Thursday) at 10:00am, according to the Carriageworks website. I don't know why the tickets for Saturday & Sunday are not going on sale as well (or perhaps they are, who knows). Ticketmaster only has them down for a show on the Friday also, so we'll have to wait and see. I'll be going on the Friday, and either Saturday or Sunday as well. It seems a tad obsessive to go all three nights. But then again, how often do they come to Australia?

*massive sigh*
We've just planned a big holiday down south in November-December. Bought all the plane tickets, got all the time off coordinated, everything. Going to be a huge ask to get away in June. But here's to hoping!

Dammit where's that Star Trek-style transporter technology when you need it? :p
And everything about tonight feels right and so young
And anything I'd want to say out loud will be sung
It's in the music...
