"Electric" chart position in UK?

#1 Post by Nickname »

Well, these are the rivals of PSB apart from these biggest artists can sell many albums one month later (or even more) after their own albums releases:

1st July

Bell X1 - Chop Chop
Brinsley Forde – Urban Jungle
The Duckworth Lewis Method – Sticky Wickets
Editors – The Weight Of Your Love
Goldheart Assembly – Long Distance Song Effects
Half Moon Run – Dark Eyes
Harry Connick Jr – Every Man Should Know
Maya Jane Coles – Comfort
The Proclaimers - The Very Best Of 1987 – 2012
Rascal Flatts – Changed

8th July

Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo – Dear River
Maps – Vicissitude
New Order - Live at Bestival
The Silver Seas – Alaska
Whitesnake - Made In Britain / The World

15th July

Robin Thicke – Blurred Lines
Mayer Hawthorne - Where Does This Door Go
Pet Shop Boys – Electric
Sara Bareilles – The Blessed Unrest

It could be fun to guess who are the artist could get the one and the ones are going to get a higher chart position than PSB.

Hopefully will squeeze into top 10 for a week.

Of course, if Thursday had been the single, the album wouldn't have made top 20...

Not the best source for that stuff, I'm afraid. There are many wrong ones on the list and some obvious ones (Robin Thicke, Mayer Hawthorne, New Order...) missing.

Ok, if you think the best source is the one tenlow says, I'll change it. I want to pick up the best source to guess the chart position "Electric" can reach and which artists are going to make it better.

I double checked the Buzzjack list with amazon UK and the dates are correct. Buzzjack usually is very reliable as well. So yeah, I would suggest that you use my list to start with.

The album should have come out on its original release date (last Monday) and should have been very visibly on sale at the London and Manchester gigs this week and they would have got a great chart position!

Bless the person who thinks #1.

I'm not sure, there certainly has been better momentum this time around (compared to Elysium), I hope top ten so it doesn't break their string of all studio albums being in the top ten.

Thicke's album will be released on 30th July.
