Hey, everbody! I don`t know about you, but I`m definitley looking forward to thier next tour, which is announced to start sometime in the beginning of next year. After their awesome Pandemonium tour, do you think it will match up, or be something like we saw in Berlin? And what songs do you think they`ll include from Elysium? :)

I think (hope) it'll be much more low key and intimate

+1

I can clearly see Neil talking to the audience between songs, about the origin of it or what it was inspired on.
Neil Tennant has a great voice, Chris Lowe has great silence.

those tracks -played in Berlin- probably will be on the next tour too! "A Face Like This" definitely should be the new opener!

I was really surprised out how good the songs off the new album sounded at the Berlin preview, I can see some of them fitting in and adding more variety to the set list. Can't see it being a big production though.

Yeah, I really think "Face like that" was a perfect opener! I can picture it being a great intro! They did include a handful of songs from "Yes" on their Pandemonium tour, so if the show is going to be in the direction of the show in Berlin, they`ll most likely play most of those songs too. They did a great cover of "I started a joke". I don`t think it`ll be on the tour, but it would`ve been cool.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they'll play 5-6 songs from "Elysium" on the upcoming tour. At the same time, they'll probably drop all of the "Yes" songs for those concerts. It was the same in 2009 when the Pandemonium tour started: except for the short snippet of "Integral", they didn't include any songs from "Fundamental". After all, I think this makes sense - they have to make room for the new material & still keep all the classics in, so the songs that have to be removed from the setlist are inevitably the "newer-but-not-brand-new" ones.

There could be songs from the forthcoming dance album, too....

Speaking of which, does anyone else expect this further album to come out before they start touring?

Yeah, I wondered about that too. I sort of suspect it will. But it's too early to tell. Not sure what the plan is for the next album or the tour, we need some more info! :)

There's been some speculation that the Berlin album preview show gives us some hints of what to expect from the next tour. I don't think we can infer much there, though. I suspect the songs at the preview show were partly chosen to make the most of the LA backing vocalists being available through satellite linkup- presumably this won't be the case for the tour.

Also, they said that they'd not even started planning the tour yet, so how can we expect the Berlin show to give any indication of what to expect in terms of presentation?

I think they'll definitely play Leaving, Memory and Face like that, and probably Invisible, Winner and Requiem and yes, some from the dance album. Regarding Winner, remember they initially left Being Boring out of the Performance tour because they felt it had been a chart flop, which Winner definitely has been.

I don't see how they can match the spectacle that was Pandemonium...but I also didn't think they could top the Performance tour. I can see them doing something closer to the Fundamental Tour...more grand than the Release Tour but less intimate than Pandemonium.
