One of the better mixes no doubt. But there are many other less exciting Yesterday mixes involved with that package.
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'

Plus he raps with his regular voice [BOOSH! BOOSH!]
[BOOSH! BOOSH!] (What was that?) Pet Shop Boys

Disco 2's actually really good if you listen to it all the way through, dont know why it gets so much stick.

Interestingly, I did the same this a few days ago and came to the same conclusion.

Retro. :)

Its the most fun and enjoyable remix, but the Jam and Spoon mix is brilliant.

Junior's mix is awful.
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.

As sometimes happens, some mixes are discarded and never see the light of day on any official release, and (with no apparent reason) others go all the way to the final thing. We can find three different Junior Vasquez mixes released on the different formats of the Yesterday, when I was mad single, and all the three mixes sound like awfull dub experiments with any reconigzable resemblance to the original song (despite some few Neil vocals here and there). But just recently I had the chance to hear some of the fully vocal, unreleased, Junior Vasquez remixes of this song...and Bingo!! Then I understood a little more how he arrived to those dub versions; and how this versions are related to the original (in a Junior Vazquez way, but related anyway...). Something similar happened when the Shep Pettibone original version of Heart get released on the Further Listening CD, and then I understood from where the crazy 'Dub' version (from the 12" REMIX vinyl) came from ;) .
This is not my signature.

Pass it along, I'd love to hear. Oh, and if Madonna calls, tell her I'm not hear. ;)

....always sounded a bit Erasure to me. The vasquez mixes are okay.... in parts. Is he still working?

One of mine too! I was also surprised the 12" had a slightly different mix, which I always call the Coconut 2 remix.

I also loved the Voxygen mix of 'I wouldn't normally do...'

No, I think it's great. Sounds a bit dated I suppose but so does most 90's dance music..it's catchy and flows well played through. It's probably the Disco album I play the most, and the only one I play all of without skipping. (I only ever play Paninaro, West End girls and Love comes quickly off Disco 1, and Here, Try It and Time on My Hands off Disco 3)

Always thought the coconut 1 remix should have been the single version.

And similarly, I got stuck in a traffic jam this morning and discovered the trouser enthusiasts mix of "A red letter day" on my ipod....fab !
