That's nothing. There was some Greek freak that bought 17 copies of Release, and admitted publicly to doing so. Then it set up its own secret forum ostensibly to slag the album off. Self-loathing is a curious thing.Ronald42 wrote:WHAT is the point of owning 4 (f******g) copies of any item?

With 4 copies of one CD you could make a display out of them in the shape of a house.
With 17 you could probably make a fort or something.

I don't think it would be that difficult actuallyDJ_Couture wrote:With 4 copies of one CD you could make a display out of them in the shape of a house.
What could you do with 21 different copies of this item?DJ_Couture wrote:With 17 you could probably make a fort or something.

From a collectors point of view I can even understand to have 17 DIFFERENT pressings of any album. But I still don't see the point of having 4 identical items. The magic word here is different.
Jealousy is a great song the 12'' version is perhaps the best track from that era.

I did some very intensive digging to see how many copies of this item are out there, so far I have found 10. Of those only one were factory sealed ( 2 if you count my copy).
While I am not a collector who would buy every color slipcase version of Release for example. This is a very unique release if looked at from the packaging point of view. Plus this item is very unique in another way, it contains a song that cannot be found anywhere else on earth. A mix so rare that even the band did not know it existed. So this item is not something that you see every day and as time takes its course ( copies getting worn out, damaged ) I suspect it will be a good investment in the long run. However, I did not buy mine for resale, I just love high end packaging. When I ordered it I wasn't even aware of how unique the mix of This must be the place I waited years to leave on the the 3" CD is.
The 80$ I paid for this is, by my own normal standard, insane!!! But a copy just sold on eBay for 150$ and it was in the worst condition you can imagine. The slipcase was trashed, it looked like someone had taken a dump on it and after about a week wiped it off then stomped the thing. God only knows if the contents can even be played!
Of the 10 I found online the price ranged from 185$ for the Mint unopened copy to 45$ for a used copy in only slightly better condition than the trashed copy that some poor soul bought

I waited a long time before buying Release. In the end I got the US 2CD. I think it was worth the money I paid. Actually I'm gonna take it with me for a spin tomorrow. Let's see how it stood the test of time.
To get back to Behaviour. I got a very cheap copy just because it didn't had the slipcase. A bit of a pitty but I just don't want to spend a lot of money on just 1 unique track. HOWEVER I had copy in my hand once which looked very good and was "just" €35,00. I really was angry with myself I didn't buy it. I went back to this seller on the CDfair but it was already gone. A few weeks later I got the copy I have now on E-bay. And yes me too has 3 different copies of Behaviour, 3 different copies of Very. All others just 1 or 2.

I have the US 2 CD version. I really like this recording. Not PSB at their best but I still rate it better than BilingualDJ_Couture wrote:I'd say more like 2/3rds.Loins Of London wrote:That's actually one more than anybody needs.Fugitive1979 wrote:I've got 1 copy of Release. That's all I need.

On the whole I prefer it to Nightlife. Also has sentimental value for me as a I saw them live shortly before its, er, release.
