Legendary PWL producer/remixer Phil Harding chats about his work with PSB during the Tom Watkins era in the latest 80sography episode (first 20 mins), including the song he didn’t get a credit for, why Pete Waterman turned down West End girls (thank god he did), and how Neil caved in to house.
Tracks discussed include: In the night, Opportunities, It’s a sin, Always on my mind / In my house, I’m not scared.

Re: 80sography – Phil Harding on PSB
Greetings,
Thanks for sharing. Very interesting. He sounds like a good, level-headed bloke.
It's fascinating to hear about how/when the Always On My Mind remix and I'm Not Scared were mixed, and to then reflect upon how they would evolve even further from there to form a third of the Introspective album.
Retro.

I find it amusing that Neil would say 'we don't really do house', then a few short months later bring out Introspective, one of the biggest house records of that time! Bit of a quick turnaround .. maybe he was taken out of context.
