Someone compared this to King of Rome and tbh they're bang on for the exact same reason.
The length works in its favour, allowing it to fully breathe. The one that drags on and on is Through you, the worst B side of the decade.

Unless they start the 3rd b-sides compilation with Fugitive then it's a very weak start with the b-sides to Together.

In fact Glad all over is has a similarity to All the young dudes- ie totally pointless.

Surely there are now enough tracks to compile the 3rd B-sides album? And what an accomplishment!

They did say somewhere their intention was to start the next B-sides collection with 'Fugitive'. There's already more than enough tracks to fit on the next double CD, depending on which tracks they decide to include from EPs, etc. It'd be funny if they decide that 'Decide' is an official B-side, given the A-side isn't counted as an official "A-side" for 'Smash' purposes. Sure it'll be on there though, as it's one of their best.

Worth noting that when 'Format' came out, it ended with 'Up & Down' , and didn't cover all the B-sides that had been released past that (guess they wouldn't have fitted). So it's possible that the next collection won't bring us completely up to date with every B-side up until our current time. All depends how they decide what to classify as a B-side this time!

Agree that Through You would improve with being shorter - angry tracks like that are supposed to build to something I feel, but that one never really goes anywhere with its premise.

That’s correct. They thought it worked better than the shorter mix.

While I love Nonetheless, it's really the b-sides that are giving me the old PSB magic, especially It's Not a Crime, I've Got Plans and (best of all) Beauty Has Laid Siege. My only complaint with Beauty is the percussion at 1:55 which sounds like a preset drum loop on a cheap Casio keyboard - it really takes me out of the fantasy for just a moment. Come to think of it, Party in the Blitz had very cheap, demo-sounding percussion as well, so maybe this is just the software they're working with right now.

Up there with best b-sides? Near the top of best tracks full stop. Finally got a chance to listen to the singles at respectable volume with house to self. What a soundscape! The best extras and mixes of this campaign.
And at the end/ Your funny Uncle staring / At all your friends / With military bearing

Does anybody else find it really similar to If Jesus had a sister somehow?
