New Order Australia 2025

Could this turn into a Unity tour I wonder as they did promise to come to Oz?

Tickets go on sale this week, so that seems unlikely.

Greetings,

That's the only way I could be persuaded to go. I'm not really one for concerts in general.

I love New Order and I saw them around the release of Get Ready but the current line-up playing the same old songs doesn't interest me much (despite still buying any live albums they happen to put out).

Retro. :)

Nah, the live albums are never that great experience as they promise. Bernards vocals are not good live.

True. I never said the live albums were great (although I've listened to the BBC 1987 one many many times)... but I love New Order and enjoy listening to and collecting anything of theirs that I can get my hands on for a decent price. It's just that after the absolute deluge of live CDs and DVDs we've had available since they reformed, you just know that any live experience is going to be 90% the same old songs, done more or less the same old way. Been there, done that. Whereas Pet Shop Boys seem to go to more effort to continually evolve their shows.

I'd rather New Order made a new album - that last one was excellent... but so long ago now!
