I'm sure we've had a thread about this already, but for the record - Alex Turner.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

It can be fun as and when it happens ("Brick England" sounds good) but I get very bored when people suggest they hook up with endless artists who "sound a bit electro-pop". God forbid they do an album of duets.
You're not the only one. I only joined in for the fun of it, but I really don't care much for their collaborations unless it relates to the producer of their album. I much prefer their "solo" outings.

I have a feeling Chris would jump at the chance to be involved with Zayn, but it doesn't include music.

That could! Neil likes Olly's voice and I think they would sound good together.

Some song about a young guy and an older guy getting together. Provocative! ;P
Dreamland was about that and you know it.

Neil and Chris could team up with Anne Dudley again and pay BBCs Piano Room a visit. Doing a Classic (It's a sin), a Cover (If you do not love me by PF) and a duet (The way it used to be with Madonna).

They've already done tons of collaborations. Basically the album producers have been "collaborations" in the sense that N&C choose someone whose sound they like.
But do we want them to be habitual collaborators like Elton John? Remember, there is a thin line between love and crime and collaboration.
I they were to collaborate with someone, it would have to, at this stage in the career, because of artistic reasons. I mean, them going in to the studio with Gahan and Gore to create something new, extraordinary, would really be something. Not just another pop tune together with the dish of the day, altough I'd like to see them do something with Mae Muller and/or Raye (PSB remixing Escapism would really be escapism).
PSB producing the next Taylor Swift record would be something to look forward to as well.

New Order possibly, but absolutely no 'here today, gone tomorrow' famous for 15 minutes up and coming 'star' as that would quickly date a track. Stick with the tried and tested:

Phil Oakey - great
JMJ - great
Ollie - OK
Kylie - disappointing
Dusty - brilliant
Elton - OK
Soft Cell - great
Example - excrement
Bowie - brilliant

Remember also that there are two classic signs of an artist treading water - the duet format updating of previous hits, and the covers album - both delaying tactics until a 'proper' release can come along and often 'Just in time for Xmas' tepid run through of past glories. More appallingly bad examples 'out there' than I could care to try counting. Oh, and the Xmas album is another cheap cash in of the desperate being pressured by their record company for product.
And at the end/ Your funny Uncle staring / At all your friends / With military bearing

I agree with you. But I would put the Ollie-collaboration on a lower level. The tune is good but PSB would've done it better on their own. I really like Example on Thursday but perhaps Neil or Chris could've done it themselves just as well.
I'd place Brick England on the brilliant level as well. The kind of music you'd expect pinning the two acts together. Imagine a whole album!

Troye Sivan.
Sounds very PSB. Seems like almost an obligatory collaboration.

Curious what Neil and Chris make of this track.
