Just wow. That's amazing. Quite nice publicity for them to be seen as so collectable.
Also, I was expecting an older release.

I wasn't aware of this item before this article. I can't even find it in www.psb-catalogue.com

Re: Pet Shop Boys CD becomes one of the most expensive ever sold on Discogs
Greetings,
Interesting. Postage makes it prohibitive for me, but a Pethead in Europe might want to get onto securing themselves a copy of the 12" before that starts getting pricey too. I've got a vinyl rip of the 12" and musically, you're not missing out on much as it's a pretty awkward ham-fisted megamix with clumsy transitions and some EQ problems, but then... is there a good megamix? Other than On-U Sound's "Petshoppibone", I can't really think of one. (The Brit Awards Medley is good, but not strictly a megamix)
Congrats to ahafan02 and anyone else who holds a copy of the CD.
Retro.

The cynic in me would say that’s just a list of artists/bands who have certain fans with more money than sense...That’s assuming they are fans and not just professionals making an “investment”

its the rarity of the cd version that made it expensive.

anybody that buys music has 'more money than sense', thats not really the point.Bucky Goldstein wrote: ↑Fri 20 Jan 2023, 7:26 am The cynic in me would say that’s just a list of artists/bands who have certain fans with more money than sense...That’s assuming they are fans and not just professionals making an “investment”
people that look for these things don't care about cost.
(i don't up to a certain point, if i can afford it, and really want it, i will get it).
