Burn too would have been crass - wasn't there a huge fire with much loss of life in a disco around that time? "We're gonna burn this disco down" would have been poor taste in the extreme.

Metamorphosis - really? Terribly weak track.

And The Sodom and Gomorrah Show - wasn't that objected to by Parlophone because of the underlying biblical story and their misgivings about the connotations, even in supposedly more enlightened times?
And at the end/ Your funny Uncle staring / At all your friends / With military bearing

In ye olden days charts, once an act became established, a top ten single wasn't true success unless it stayed there for more than one week.

Pre-orders and opening week sales from the hardcore element of a large fan base can get you riding high but unless that leads to radioplay and longevity in the top ten, chances are no one will remember the song apart from your own fans.
