How does Ticketmaster work?

Hi, I’m going to see PSB tomorrow night and I have no idea how these Ticketmaster mobile tickets now work. I just got an email saying I have to use the Ticketmaster app because I have to show the animated version of the ticket. So does that mean I have to connect to the Internet at the venue? And then it says I can use Apple Wallet, but you can’t do that on my iPad, or an android device. It says screenshots are no good. Any help or advice appreciated.

I gotta laugh, on the email I have just seen it says “using mobile makes it easier and quicker for you to enter the venue.” No it doesn’t. It really doesn’t.

Hey

Have you downloaded the Ticketmaster app on your mobile device? if so, you should be able to to see the QR code for each of your tickets there.

The 'animated' part refers to the fact that the QR code is generated randomly every few seconds ... so taking a screenshot of what you see now won't work tomorrow.

Once you are seeing the QR codes in your app the you are good to go. And when you are at the venue and going through the check points ... just open the app and show them the QR code that is showing at that time.

You won't need to connect to the internet at the venue necessarily - just make sure you have internet access on your mobile using your data plan for example.

Excellent! Thanks. That even says I can print it out.

So the Ticketmaster email was complete bollocks.

Just checked again… e-tickets you can print out but NOT mobile tickets so get the app installed!

The O2 was all digital only … even though I had paper tickets posted originally.

Yeah, I’m in trouble. I shouldn’t have bought mobile tickets.
Hopefully they’ll let me in. I’ll have to try and find the box office. Otherwise I’m going down the pub.

What a load of agro! Bring back paper tickets.

Part of going to a PSB's concert was to get a ticket. Hope you have a great time.
