Me too! Jellybean is the most logical continuation. And maybe then Arthur Baker himself before him (?). Then maybe Thompson & Barbiero...Potoker...Justin Strauss...tottenhammattspurs wrote: ↑Sat 09 Oct 2021, 12:15 pm What do reckon the next collection will be? I’m guessing Jellybean. He had a lot of mixes out in the 80s including his own compositions.

Baker has said he will likely be third in the series.
Hopping for Morales and Knuckles.

Re: Shep Pettibone collection
Wouldn't surprise me if there's a Paul Oakenfold one at some point. He did some cracking mixes of alternative and pop acts in the late 80s and 90s. Surprised PSB never asked him to remix them actually.
Re: Shep Pettibone collection
I see Oakenfold more as a nineties DJ though, in most cases not really my cup of tea but like some of his remixes.
Re: Shep Pettibone collection
Knuckles already had he´s own compilation of mixes/productions few years ago (including the rare Royal piano mix of left To My Own Devices). I see this Arthur Baker project like a more 80's oriented thing anyway. But maybe I´m wrong...time will tell...

Re: Shep Pettibone collection
Kevorkian did some great mixes in the 80s (Rent comes to mind, Jean-Michel Jarre's Zoolookologie 12", Cure's Why Can't I Be You?). That would give a perfect compilation.
Re: Shep Pettibone collection
Don’t think that it’s going to be an eksklusive 80’s collection, there has been no word of that.

Absolutely!!!leesmapman wrote: ↑Sun 10 Oct 2021, 5:42 pm Kevorkian did some great mixes in the 80s (Rent comes to mind, Jean-Michel Jarre's Zoolookologie 12", Cure's Why Can't I Be You?). That would give a perfect compilation.
He did some of my all time fab extended mixes..like Nick Heyward's You´re my world..and the Depeche Violator-era 12"s! Along many others, with mostly great and influential extended remixes (he was even behind Yazoo's Stutation, and big hits of Kraftwerk, Simple Mind, Jan Hammer, Mick Jagger...)

Re: Shep Pettibone collection
Thanks for that. I never knew that they invited Shep to produce some tracks on Actually.
TIERGARTEN's debut album BREAKING POINT is out now: https://linktr.ee/tiergartenmusic
Re: Shep Pettibone collection
I think he (co?) produced I want to wake up and You know where you went wrong. Were these his only production credits for Neil and Chris?TallThinMan wrote:Thanks for that. I never knew that they invited Shep to produce some tracks on Actually.
Any corrections to this PSB / SP discography?

Re: Shep Pettibone collection
According to the sleeve notes from the Please Further Listening set, Shep’s manager Jane Brinton actually ended up remixing Was that what it was? Shep was booked but missed his plane.Oznerol wrote:He´s also credited with a "Remix" role on "Was that what it was"Dog wrote: ↑Wed 13 Oct 2021, 10:17 pm Any corrections to this PSB / SP discography?

Re: Shep Pettibone collection
There's also 'Heart (Shep Pettibone Version)' on 'Actually Further Listening', an early version he produced (not the remix he did later).
