Complete list of releases in Excel .xlsx format?
Complete list of releases in Excel .xlsx format?
Hi,
Although I find the gardner's website of releases very useful, does anyone have a spreadsheet listing all their releases and formats that they are willing to share?
Thanks.

Re: Complete list of releases in Excel .xlsx format?
I think creating this would be excessive. What I always considered compiling was "unique tracklist releases" type of list. For example, I hate discogs having dozens of entries for releases that differ in only cosmetic things like a barcode or release country. To me, it's the same f*** thing if they have the same tracks on it. Of course, preferences here and there will influence what you should get (I hate card sleeves and digipaks). Redundancy in collecting is something I never understood.
I'm sort of working on a "necessary set of releases" of my own, and would love if someone helped out. For example, you don't need to buy "Christmas EP" or "Love Life" anymore, since you've got those tracks on the FL releases. Saves you bucks, and that's good if you're a not-very-rich completist like myself.
For example, I'd say that the essentials from the "Yes" era would be
Yes: Further Listening 2008-2010
Yes etc. (Japanese Edition?)
Love etc. - Remixes
Did you see me coming - 2-Track promo
Beautiful people
Pandemonium
and that's it! If you're wealthy enough, add those two US promos of Love etc. and Did you see me coming?

I could actually use an Excel list of this right now. I'm about to embark on a rather large project to document my collection with all the release dates and item numbers. If someone had even something started I could determine what I have and make additions of any extra info.
Most of what I have are 12 inches, CD singles and a scattering of limited 7 inches.
Once done I would gladly share the data.

Thanks - I also copied/pasted the song list from the PSB website into Excel, and will use Pet Shop Boys Catalogue (www.psb-catalogue.com) as a point of reference too.Izione wrote: ↑Wed 10 Jun 2020, 8:52 am There is this for good starters.. documents releases up to Nightlife.. maybe a way of getting this list into excel?

It might be a bit of a faff but the images serve as good reference to be sure I have the copy stated, and I can verify the catalogue numbers as well.
I'm sure it'll be a labour of love, but worth it in the end.

I'm about halfway through my vinyl collection and hope to get the cataloging finished today.
Is anyone interested in me sharing it in xlsm format so they can use it for themselves?
