Does Simon Bates present the entire episode on his own though..? If he has a co-host and it is Mike Smith then we're screwed..

Always found Mike smith utterly irritating when he did the radio 1 breakfast show.

Find him even more irritating now after seeing that list.

I'm assuming the Opportunities performance is from June 5th '86 which had Simon Bates with Ooh Gary Davies so were good to go, folks..!

It looks like Mike Smith’s run on TOTP and the Imperial Phase, end about the same time.

From the frankly ridiculous fashions to the Smashy and Nicey presenting with a huge number of novelty records you can't believe were hits, through the sublime performances to the frankly ridiculous it's an essential record that today's generation are sadly missing. No matter how rubbish the music on offer it's required watching and I record the lot. For the Saville et al shows watch TOTP2 or the occasional review of the year where presenters are edited out. This allows us to see those performances otherwise off limits due to presenter indiscretion.
I record most of them too. If you want to get involved in an ongoing forum discussion about these episodes then you can join the group here:-

Great to finally have this appearance in remastered quality. One of their more memorable performances on TOTP's, even excusing Neil's white gloves..

Just a polite reminder that PSB's appear on the Top of the Pops repeat tonight on BBC4 at 19:30 performing Opportunities. If anyone could capture this I would appreciate it.

I don't understand why they dislike this performance. Neil is clearly playing the character from the song and Chris' drumming is ace.

Check out the "On Demand" on Sky as at the moment it has found all/most 1986 T.O.T.P's PSB's performances.
