"he came by to look at my synthesizer"
First off... this is great footage.
Second.... the coy grin on Chris' face when Neil said "he came by to look at my synthesizer" is telling, I'm sorry.
Not to be crass, but.... yeah he did!

I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.

Chris found that Neil's synthesizer was extremely hard
to play.
to play.

Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning.
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

Yes that clip is ripe with one liners too. ''We had to open it by cutting a log in half'' (re the launch of MTV Russia)...."it's the only time we've cut a log in half".....well with their hands anyway.
Re: "he came by to look at my synthesizer"
WOW, never seen that interview before...how damn ADORABLE is Chris!? So giddy, coy, cute, and sexy in his innocent way. And Neil was so articulate even then. Love it.Luke Colorado wrote: ↑Thu 14 Jun 2018, 8:55 pm First off... this is great footage.

Good Lord, if I was Neil in 1981 and I met Chris looking the way he does there, I'm really not sure we'd have talked about music or done much talking at all. So cute, but I still think he is now not just looks but personality.
Fight for love or love to fight......

Has Naughty Chris ever commented about that line on "Twentieth Century" which sounds like "Stay with me, dysentery"?
