I bought Erasure "Love you to the Sky " and received it yesterday. It took 12 days from the U.K to Denmark. And it isn't that far !

I'm curious about the packaging - can't possibly be the same as in 2001 seeing as Nightlife and Release contain 3 CDs.

It's very possible to fit 3 discs in a single jewel case. The hub for the third disc is molded onto the inside of the rear of the jewel case. To accommodate this, the rear insert has a hole cut in the middle. It sounds unorthodox but several major labels have used this in recent years. Here's the rear insert of an Icehouse comp that Universal released a couple years back. It contained two CDs and a DVD all housed in a single jewel case. It gets a little crowded in there with the booklet, but that wouldn't be an issue with the FLs anyway since the booklets don't fit in the case. I hope they use these 3CD single cases for Nightlife and Release. On the shelf it won't look any different than any of the 2CD versions.

Would they go with a Pop Art Box type of packaging for the 3 discs?

I think in the end we will have box to put all this stuff inside. So unlikely we have boxes in a box)

Probably they will use tri-fold digipack with outer sleeve like was used for Pop Art gift pack

I have the digital version of that album. Had no idea the physical album was designed that way. Who wants an inner sleeve with a hole in the middle?

Getting messages from Amazon UK saying the release date of all three delayed to August 1st-8th. Delaying my pre-order. Anyone know what's going on?

BTW Amazon UK reduces items listed price on 20% when they are in basket. I think it's because my shipping address outside UK. So all 3 items cost 46,65 pounds + postage.

Taken from OS

... and for those who haven't seen (or heard) this yet:

An official promo ad featuring a great-sounding remaster of " I don't know what you want but I can't give it any more" (Instrumental!). If the sound quality is consistently this good, then the remastered "Nightlife" is going to be fantastic (regardless of the bonus tracks).

What do others think of the sound-quality?

Does anyone know anything about the tracks 'Kazak' and 'Reunion'? I've been through my Literally collection reading the album diaries but can't seem to find any reference to them. My guess is that they were part of the writing sessions for new singles to go on PopArt. Can anyone else add anything to this?
Why am I dancing when I'm so alone? I can feel tears in my eyes. Are they really justified?

There has never been any mention anywhere of these titles. They may be new names for tracks mentioned in Literally of course, or maybe previously untitled instrumentals. I think it's amazing we have two entirely unheard -of songs to look forward to.

I do! So that all of my FLs, 2-disc and 3-disc alike, will look uniform on the shelf. :)

It's just the back insert that has the hole. The rest of the packaging is similar to any 2Cd set. The design is really quite genius, and if I'm honest, it seems very much like something Farrow/PSB would embrace because it's both efficient and kitschy at the same time. My fear, though, is that for budgetary reasons the record label will go the cheaper digipak route.

I'll try to remember to snap a couple picks of my Icehouse set and post them here.

I'm old-fashioned - I like the 'fat' 3cd boxes that used to be around in the late 80s early 90s.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
