All over the world new version played on radio 2
Re: All over the world new version played on radio 2
While it could yet graduate to the A list, I think BBC Radio 2 know that they'll also playlist IDOSAC in December, so they're not going to push AOTW too much. Just because you've got an effective "double A-side" single doesn't mean you'll get double the push.
Of course, if I'm wrong, they're finished and self-immolation becomes an option.

Well, I remember previous singles getting into the B-list and 1 or 2 weeks before their releases getting into the A-list. So I think AOTW (or maybe the whole EP, I don't know) will get into the A-list in 1 or 2 weeks.Drico One wrote:While it could yet graduate to the A list, I think BBC Radio 2 know that they'll also playlist IDOSAC in December, so they're not going to push AOTW too much. 'Tis normal to start on C or B-List. Love etc was ROTW then A-list but that was the first single off the album so...
The main thing is Radio 2's continued support because without that we might as well all pack up and go home now.

Sweet... now it's A-list.
It'd be nice to see IDOSAC get a showing, but that's only likely closer to Xmas.

There's literally no airplay for this song on German radio stations. Chart-wise it'll be a total flop whilst it deserves a decent position.
Re: All over the world new version played on radio 2
Has it even been sent to radio stations outside the UK yet ?

There must be a difference between getting the airplay that leads you to #39 in the airplay charts and the number of radio stations that are playing it. PSB will have to rely on Radio 2 playing AOTW as nearly no other is giving it a break.XTZ1969 wrote:The new version of 'All Over The World' debuts at #39 in the UK (airplay, of course).

UK radio play is based on audience share, hence Radio 2 (and Radio 1) exposure = decent airplay chart position.cupidius wrote:There must be a difference between getting the airplay that leads you to #39 in the airplay charts and the number of radio stations that are playing it. Be interesting to see how many actual plays AOTW received on UK radio stations. Not many i'd have thought.

I don't know the general public's opinion about AOTW but I think it was the best song from Yes (even better than Love etc).
