The "Elysium" Survivor Challenge - Round 5

#1 Post by ZiggyPSB »

Onto the penultimate round.

Last time we lost Breathing space and Requiem in denim and leopardskin. We're down to four songs.

Vote for your two least favourite tracks. Votes are locked in after being cast. If there's a tie in the results which three tracks get the most votes, this would be the final round and the survivor is declared but it might not come to that. 48 hours to vote. Happy voting.

Round 1 = Hold on (40), Winner (39)
Round 2 = Ego music (55), Everything means something (32)
Round 3 = Your early stuff (44), Give it a go (39)
Round 4 = Breathing space (38), Requiem in denim and leopardskin (30)

Really disappointed "Breathing Space" has been voted off, my votes for this round are the same as the last "Invisible" and "A Face Like That".

Whoever voted for Leaving WILL be shot. : Greetings from the sunny Croatian seaside.
Have a look at my taste in music:

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

Invisible and Face Like that got my votes.

Personally Memory of the future is my fav track from Elysium. And of the other 3 I think Invisible is the weakest.

But on the plus side, 3 of the 4 tracks left are singles from the album. So seems we know what is commercially viable. Just like. the PSB do.

Songs that failed to impress the generic ear for the most part.

hmmmm, my 4 favourite tracks from the album. The only way I can choose would be to close my eyes and stab a pin randomly at them... but what a great little EP those would make.

Memory of the future and hmm... tough choice... Invisible, I think. While it is a great song, it bored me a little bit at the Dortmund concert whereas A face like that didn't. Normally I like them both equally but since I have to make a choice, Invisible it is.
