10/10. One of the best albums from PSB. Bilingual is still my favourite but this is definitely one of the best.

10/10. for such an excellent album, I can even forgive and cheer for Love is a....
But Last to Die, Axis and Fluorescent...are another story...they alone would elevate any album up four to five notches for me; in particular, Last to Die is a particular gem Springsteen should be proud of. It reminds me of Joe Cocker's excellent cover of Leonard Cohen song, First We Take Manhattan. I thought Cocker breathed a new life to that already good song, this got the same vibrations.

Superb album. My least favourite track is Thursday, but I at least still find that significantly better than a good many songs on Elysium.
Re: Rating: "Electric"
The only statement I make with my ratings is what I think of the music. Electric is literally the very best the PSB have ever done in my opinion.bongsteve wrote:I wonder if people are rating this album so high as a backlash to the disappointment of Elysium. I can tell you I've played the album for a couple of pretty big PSB fans and all were less than enthusiastic about it. Some good, some rubbish, not even close to their classics.
Here is another food for thought: Are people rating the classics so high purely because of the music or is there also nostalgia in the mix? I guess most of the fanbase have been fans since the mid to late 1980's and got each studio album at the time of its release. Being born the year Introspective was released I didn't get that chance, and got most of their discography up to Yes (which made me a fan in 2009) in a matter of months and I'm not really feeling the magic in early albums that gets reflected by most of the ratings around these parts. A lot of duds per album, on Behaviour and Very in particular. Not saying they are 'bad' by any means, just that they are nothing special to write home about as compared to the newer stuff.
