IMHO "Vocal" is much more similar to their trance-y "Leaving" remixes.FormerEnfantTerrible wrote:Someone that has heard the full album said this song sounded like a Leaving remix. He was right. The fading is very reminiscent of the PSB mixes.

Cool track. Really like the descending heavy baseline bit. Very Chris Lowe.
Only tiny complaint is I can't work out some of the words. I don't get this effect with PSB very often. I'm sure I'll work them out on the 20th listen though, which won't take long at this rate.
Happy x

That seems appropriate for something called "Inside a dream".Waffleon wrote:Only tiny complaint is I can't work out some of the words.

I too cannot get the lyrics... crucial to full enjoyment of the song... glad, perhaps, that there's still more to discover about it?

"the land of dreams
is better found
above the light
of the morning star"
that's what it sounds like to me, though I'm not sure about the second line

"What have I done to deserve this??" have been played many times, it's one of their best songs.jamie1978 wrote:They're not playing 'What have I done to deserve this?' either, so by your logic this is also a terrible song.nickname wrote:

I give up. Weve all suffered enough, now...

Yes but they didn't play it on this tour. Which is exactly your logic for thinking that Inside a Dream is terrible.nickname wrote:"What have I done to deserve this??" have been played many times, it's one of their best songs.jamie1978 wrote:They're not playing 'What have I done to deserve this?' either, so by your logic this is also a terrible song.nickname wrote:

Given it's a new song, it's rather hard for them to have played it on past tours.
Re: "Inside a dream"
If this song is not played on this "Electric" tour... you know, it's the tour of the album "Electric" (an a bit of "Elysium" too).jamie1978 wrote:

Re: "Inside a dream"
what do you want, for them to play every track from the album?
choosing a track to play live is far more to do with how they think it weaves into their concept for the show, and how it sounds live, and of course if there are enough lyrics to keep Neil occupied... (Inside a dream is bordering on instrumental, and they already have Axis as the opener and several instrumental breaks, so there isn't an obvious place for it in the setlist)
you really don't get it, but selecting tracks to play live in a particular show has nothing to do with if they think one or another is 'better' in relation to the rest of the album.
in summary, your logic of "they don't choose to play it live, so they think it's not very good" is total and utter nonsense

I'm trying my hardest to be fair here, but nickname you keep coming out with this pearlers...
You do realise it is not a tour playing just songs from Electric and Elysium don't you..? Please say you realise that at least, because if I'm not mistaken I'm fairly sure that I've seen youtube footage of this tour where Its A Sin, I'm Not Scared & Suburbia among others are performed. Your comments just don't have any rational basis whatsoever and I'm afraid are just wrong. But, I accept your entitled to your opinion(s) even if they are off the scale at times. I just had to get that off my chest...I feel better now

Re: "Inside a dream"
I'm thinking it's: 'is better far...' but the next line should then start with a 'than...' - but I'm not convinced it does.jamie1978 wrote:"the land of dreams

Re: "Inside a dream"
well, no, that kind of makes sense: the land of dreams is better far above the light of the morning star

Re: "Inside a dream"
They might change the songs after the release of the album... (might be a bit unfair to the people that went to see them before the release...nickname wrote:If this song is not played on this "Electric" tour... you know, it's the tour of the album "Electric" (an a bit of "Elysium" too).
