My God this is indescribably cool.
The section 2.15-2.54 is just utterly, utterly amazing.
Tears in my eyes. We are so, so lucky.

Re: "Inside a dream"
Because it sounds a bit like a sleepy brother of "More than a dream" in a kind of "after hours mix", a B side (it's not very far from that) with a good production.Corina wrote:why?nickname wrote:5

Re: "Inside a dream"
hi nickname
I realise you are (like me) a big fan of Thursday but to me this track slightly shades that one now. I've listened to it probably 20 times already and like Ghost (above) think that the refrain (first heard from 2.15) is stunning and moving. Musically this track is complex and beautifully simple. Blimmin eck.. I wasn't expecting such a nice surprise.

Re: "Inside a dream"
I'm afraid the rest of the album (the three songs haven't listened) is a bit like a compilation of B-sides. In fact, most of the PSB B-sides are more or less instrumental dance tracks. There is a laziness feeling (the snippet of "Fluorescent" is very similar to that), I can't get into.joe stalin wrote:hi nickname

Ehrm...not really. Have you listened to Alternative and Format just once??

I definitely hear that early 80's Madonna vibe they mentioned awhile back, like Dress You Up, etc. with those bells......sounds retro and modern at the same time, very nice.

Re: "Inside a dream"
Superb start crying out for an old fashioned extended remix. I gave it an 8 as it does tail off a little in the last minute and fail to live up to the intro BUT still great stuff. And better than Thursday...
And at the end/ Your funny Uncle staring / At all your friends / With military bearing
