Did Neil go to school with Sting?
Did Neil go to school with Sting?
I remember reading in an article that Neil went to school with Sting.
Does anyone know if that's true? I guess they're both from Newcastle, and about the same age....

"It´s fundamental that we do only exist in our own universe. When you like Pet Shop Boys, you are in our world. This is absolutely crucial to our entire outlook...what we do has an incredibly strong identity and applies only to us. It´s a case of not recognising the existence of anybody else!". Neil Tennant.

On the PopArt DVD commentary Chris Heath whispers to Neil who he thinks the song is about, and Neil says "Yes". I presume he says "Sting" but, of course, you can't hear.
Interviewer:
-What would you tell someone about yourself if you wanted to impress them?
Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.

Don't know for sure, however, the moment in the PopArt dvd suggests that Neil wrote it about one pop star in particular, and Sting is the only one I can think of for whom most of the lyrics fit.psbfan wrote:how do you know his singing about sting?
in the line where he says Tell me baby are you gonna make any other claim?
