I think really cheap sounding electroclash covers with shit vocals went out in 2003. Not worth anyones' time.
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'
"He couldn't have fell off that hard" Ain't no way
"What happened to the way you was rappin' when you was scandalous
That Canibus turned into a television evangelist"
Plus he raps with his regular voice [BOOSH! BOOSH!]
[BOOSH! BOOSH!] (What was that?) Pet Shop Boys

I think Firth's encounters with me have helped give some backbone to his opinions. Much better than the watered down 'well everyone has their own taste' p.c. b.s.

There is also a cover of Jelousy on this page: http://www.buffetlibredjs.net/index2.php but I'm not sure it's worth anyones time either. The cover of ELO's Here IS The News was horrendously bad.

Haha, this would be a fair point, but I don't actually mean they are crap for everyone. I'm just saying I think they are very poorly done in my opinion, and I am guessing that 95 percent of people in the forum will not want to bother (a fair warning I think, if combined with others opinions who also say don't bother). They are extremely amatuerish. Yet, if amateurish is what you like, then you will LOVE all the covers on those pages. I am actually pretty sure someone will enjoy the West End girls or Jealousy covers.

Also, the issue of "everyone has their own taste" is really not a "PC" thing. I know for you it may be. But you can't actually say that dense production is better than sparse, and so on. But I understand that being able to label some things crap is helpful to the psyche sometimes. I do it too, it's just a personal judgement, not an absolute.

Dense production is not crap, nor is sparse production. Crap is crap, and it comes in many forms. But like you said, absolutes are impossible. There is no such thing as bad music. Me sigh.

Thanks for posting the link. For what it is, it's not bad but it doesn't quite tick my boxes.

Me neither. It's more to do with phenomenology.
