Re: New Quietus article
Ooohhh. I always like articles like these. From a fan too...Fergal Kinney...is he amongst us?
Re: New Quietus article
Just did a quick skim of the song choices (I am working after all!) and these are all really solid picks.
I'll give it a proper read later.
This could make a nice alternative PSB playlist.

I'm missing Bolshy on that list, but happy to see Euroboy and Some Speculation are there.

Nice to see "social media" get some love. I think its one of their best tracks in years. I think that one track is better than most of Hotspot

I agree! A fun upbeat song and the lyrics are right on the money.glennjridge wrote: ↑Wed 28 Apr 2021, 10:52 pm Nice to see "social media" get some love. I think its one of their best tracks in years. I think that one track is better than most of Hotspot
Overall I thought it was a lengthy and well varied list.
Disco Potential was a surprising but welcome entry (one that crept up my favs list over the years).
It’s nice to see some of their lesser acknowledged songs get some love.

I was hoping they would would compile a playlist. Cheers for the linkDog wrote: ↑Wed 28 Apr 2021, 8:32 pm As a Spotify playlist:

Excellent list -
Shame A new life didn't get a mention - it's always been in the top 10. Very happy to see leaving there too.
Id' have added Minimal and I made my excuses and left to the list, along with The way it used to be, An open mind, Decide, and No excuses.

Look left, then right
And run for your life
And run for your life
Re: New Quietus article
How can they have a article like that and NOT mention The Way It Used To Be
I've been a Teenager since before you were born.

Woof.
Re: New Quietus article
I appreciate something like this is entirely subjective but for me quite a number of essential tracks have been overlooked:
A new life
I get excited
It must be obvious
My October symphony
The survivors
For all of us
Love is a catastrophe
Always
The Resurrectionist
Fugitive
The way it used to be
King of Rome
Invisible
A face like that
Burn
Sad robot world
An open mind
Hoping for a miracle
A new life
I get excited
It must be obvious
My October symphony
The survivors
For all of us
Love is a catastrophe
Always
The Resurrectionist
Fugitive
The way it used to be
King of Rome
Invisible
A face like that
Burn
Sad robot world
An open mind
Hoping for a miracle
Woof.
