One of the main reason Spain has been a big market for PSB (with UK, Germany and more than France and Italy) is because they have had a successful career in the most famous chart list from Spain. I'm not talking about The Spanish Official Singles Chart (where PSB have 3 Number 1: It's a Sin, Always on my Mind, Domino Dancing and Heart was Number 2 because Always on my Mind was Number 1), I'm talking about Los 40 (they were called Los 40 Principales, at that time). As I said it's not official but at that time, aound 4 M of Spaniard listened this chart to know what happened on the music industry.
Here, you can take a look which songs from PSB were Number 1 (10 + Liza Minelli with Losing my Mind):

They also had a big support from the Spanish TV. In fact, there is a very special concert (well, it's not a concert really, everything is play back) where they played 5 or 6 songs from Please. Specially, the original version of Suburbia.
PSB were very well recieved with people throwing to Neil panties and bras and Chris laughing at Neil :

Just like the Tracks radio show in Sweden where PSB went to nr 1 with almost all their singles fr 86 to 91. That radio show was not the official chart but the place to be if you wanted to get to know new music.

A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

I don't get it ... I refered to the fact that the Wikipedia link is a list of Los 40 from 1966. There is nothing about PSB.telys wrote: ↑Thu 22 Apr 2021, 9:04 amWell, PSB early releases were in mainland Europe.
