2022....my understanding is that most tours have proactively moved 2020 and 2021 tours to 2022 and the tours are of course waiting for all T's to cross and all I's to dot before announcing publicly. Hopefully, NO and PSB have proactively activated this strategy so everyone can enjoy 2022 without restraints.

Hoping for a miracle and its delayed to 2022.

No way with the state Ontario is in right now that Toronto is going ahead without some serious improvement.

How can I change? I live without restraint
And I would try the patience of a saint
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

Probably delayed.

But at the same time, the gents are realists, and probably wouldn't go ahead on anything just because things are enabled by some kind of neo capitalist push to return to "normal".

I can see them opting out at the slightest hint of BS.

Gives New Order another year to actually record something new rather than yet another live album with the same track listing as the previous four!

I suspect they have hedged their bets and have already locked in dates at the venues for 2022 ... my gut feeling is this will be postponed as the demand was through the roof when tickets first went on sale.

Also, I see a lot of buzz from New Order about wanting to play live again and they have run some recent campaigns to support their touring crew so think they are keen to push on with live dates as soon as they can.

A tweet from New Order today has this quote:

"We’ve all been through some tough times recently. We can’t wait to get back out playing live"
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

Latest in Ontario, Canada is grim.

Stay at home order now through to May 20, and anticipated increases of Covid are going to push hospitals to their limit.

Vaccine delivery is also a disaster.

Toronto gig in September seems increasingly unlikely.

I have tix for 2 shows in California and will be bummed but not surprised if they are rescheduled until 2022. It also would not remotely surprise me if they are cancelled altogether. Will be interesting to see if either band has a new album/material to support by then as well.

Yup, and with a 4 month wait between 1st and 2nd vaccine, someone like me wont be fully vaccinated by then either (still waiting for round 1).

I noted on PSB site that the Unity postponement announcement was made in May, so by my reckoning, we should hear something in the next couple of weeks.

We're in a Stay at Home order until May 20th (for now), and cases are "possibly" plateauing, although it's anyones guess with the variants floating around.

It's a bit of a shit-show in Ontario right now. Can't speak for other North American jurisdictions, but I don't think it's looking good right now for that PSB/NO dream concert.

Still that would give us an extra year for Hooky and Bernard to reconcile and for him to come back on board :wall:
Hey I can always live in hope, right?!

I have a ticket for Madison Square Garden in NYC, but won‘t be allowed to travel to the US from Germany - status quo.
