Let's hope we don't get what's promised, Diddly Squat. Does that sound like a Pet Shop Boys title? She's good. She has a lot of followers on Instagram.

Isn't this that Japanese song they did like 15 years ago?

Funny to hear English lyrics to a song I know as a Japanese track.

Geowayne has it documented. I always assumed the Miu version was only a loose interpretation but judging by the snippet the song is pretty much the same.

Be nice to know how this comes to exist and if Neil and Chris gave their blessing.

I think she's a German singer? They might have met her in Berlin?

Perhaps it is a cover as it say “composed by Pet Shop Boys”, not “produced”. Worth waiting for nonetheless from that snippet.

But is it a cover if it's never been released? (unless you take "All or nothing" into account)
Is "Little red dress" by West End Girls a cover?
I mean, there's plenty of Tennant/Lowe songs that they gave to other artists and are not produced by them.

It sounds awful. Hopefully Pet Shop Boys have enough money not to write shitty music for such singers.

One thought:

Pet Shop Boys write unfinished song with minimal lyrics and give it the rough demo title Diddly Squat

They hand it over to Miyuki Motegi who gives it a new set of Japanese lyrics and calls it All Or Nothing

Misha Singer takes All Or Nothing, translates it into English and releases it as Diddly Squat

My guess is what we will really have is All Or Nothing (English Version)
Woof.

Oh, it's just that "and there she goes" j-pop song from the early 00's.

I thought it was something new! What a shame.
This is basically like if someone covered Little Black Dress (written by PSB, performed by West End Girls).
Plus it's not a particularly good song.
Maybe if it had Neil backing vocals like the original then it'd be half worth listening to.

10 thousand? That doesn't seem like a lot to me.

Sounds like the verses to Kylie’s “Your Disco Needs You”

Does “diddly squat” translate in German? I mean, would a German speaker know what it means? What would be the German equivalent?
